frequently asked questions
What if I need first aid or I witness someone on course who needs first aid?
There are 2 medical first aid attendants available during the event. Contact info is listed on the event bracelets. Call that cell number for minor first aid, do also call 911 if there are serious injuries beyond minor first aid.
Are E-bikes or E-assist bikes allowed?
No. Our insurers have strict requirements on E-bikes not being allowed in our event.
Is this a timed event? Will there be chip times, medals or posted results?
No - this is not a timed event. This ride is grassroots, community focused and part of that is keeping things fun and low cost of entry. If you want to compare times or results we recommend using a Strava or similar service for timing.
Is there a time cut?
Yes - the celebrations and food at memorial park will be available until 3pm. The route ‘sweep’ car will begin at 12:30. Anyone still on-route on the 100km route will be asked to turn back at 2pm, if they have not yet reached 75km.
What if I have a mechanical issue on-course?
For any mechanical issues, there will be circulating Cyclepath Shop trucks and VeloFix on course. However, we recommend to carry all the necessary tools and spare tube(s) to repair a flat.
